Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 July 2026
ByteX AI ("we", "us") is a UK-based software studio. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
- Contact form. If you use the form on our homepage we collect your name, email address, company name (optional), and your message. The form is processed by Formspree, which delivers the submission to us by email and processes it under its own privacy policy.
- Direct contact. If you email us or message us on WhatsApp, we receive whatever details you choose to share, handled by your email provider or Meta (WhatsApp) respectively.
- Fonts. This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. When the page loads, your browser requests font files from Google's servers, which involves your IP address being sent to Google. See Google's privacy policy.
We do not run analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts on this site.
Why we collect it
We use the details you send us solely to reply to your enquiry and, if we end up working together, to carry out that work. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and, where a project follows, the performance of a contract.
Cookies
We do not set tracking or advertising cookies. The only thing this site stores in your browser is a single localStorage entry that remembers you dismissed our cookie notice, so we don't show it to you again. It contains no personal data and is never sent to us.
How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you come back to us. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
Sharing
We don't sell or rent your personal data. It is only shared with the service providers named above (Formspree, our email provider) to the extent needed to receive and answer your message.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to or restrict our processing of it;
- data portability, where applicable;
- complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you think we've mishandled your data.
Contact
For anything related to your personal data, email us at hey@bytexai.co.uk and we'll get back to you promptly.
Changes to this policy
If we change how this site handles personal data we'll update this page and the date at the top.
